The first Public Forum of 2018, which was also the Inaugural AGM of BCR CP, was held on 22 February 2018. It was well-attended, with more than 65 people packing Bishopston Library.
Just three days beforehand, Mayor Marvin Rees had told us he would not be attending, but Cllr Nicola Beech, Council Cabinet member for Strategic Planning, stepped in at short notice. There was a lively question and answer session on city-wide and local issues, including housing, planning, HMOs, libraries and travel.
During the Inaugural AGM, the new Constitution for BCR CP was approved unanimously by the 23 partners present at the meeting. Also confirmed were the seven people, including six representing local community groups, who will form the new BCR CP Committee.
