Council Budget 2019/20 – Understanding the choices

Bristol City Council’s Budget Consultation 2019/20 is open for comments until Sunday 16 December. It asks about the level of increase in Council Tax that should be charged for the coming municipal year and how that might further affect council services.

In order to help understand the issues involved in setting the council budget, Friends of Redland Library are hosting a public meeting on Wednesday 12 December, 7.45pm at Redland Library.

Councillor Clive Stevens (Clifton Down), who is vice-chair of the Audit Committee, and Councillor Estella Tincknell (Lockleaze), who is a member of the Overview and Scrutiny Management Board, will talk about how council services are related to the overall budget, which in turn is related to the amount of council tax charged.
