The experimental pedestrianisation of Cotham Hill has been in progress since April 2021. Bristol City Council is now consulting on three possible ways in which the scheme could be made permanent.
According to surveys of local residents and traders, most believe the temporary pedestrianisation has made the area safer and cleaner, so the council has prepared three possible options for permanent schemes. Two of the options would preserve the existing road closures to motor vehicles, and one would make Cotham Hill one-way from Whiteladies Road to Cotham Road.
For full details of the options, and to have your say, go to the Cotham Hill Permanent Scheme Consultation. The consultation closes on Tuesday 30th November.
